(DPi), headquartered in Cresson Texas, manufactures and sells custom-designed variable printing solutions that are integrated in-line or off-line on new or existing printing equipment. DPi combines proven variable printing technologies with its proprietary printer controller and software to add high-speed electronic variable data printing capabilities to mechanical printing equipment. With over 200 man-year’s experience in variable data printing technologies and custom integration, DPi systems add variable bar codes, numbers, variable text and graphics to such applications as labels, tickets, tags, statements, forms, lottery and gaming applications and direct mail. DPi’s controller software can synchronize any combination of its print technologies to print highly variable data on the same web or sheet press, transport, collator or converting equipment line. In 1998 DPi introduced its first Drop-On-Demand (DOD) ink jet variable data printing system based on Dimatix technology, utilizing UV-curable inks. Since then, DPi’s DOD technology has evolved to offer multiple print widths, multiple resolutions and print speeds up to 650 feet per minute. More recently, DPi has developed a wide, high-resolution version of its Spectra based DOD system and a new controller that provides a common operating platform for all of its variable data printing technologies. All of DPi’s DOD systems are rated to use UV-curable, oil-based, and solvent inks. DPi considered a number of manufacturers before settling on Dimatix as the foundation for its DOD printing technology. Dimatix’s record of success in the field, the industrial design of its hardware and the cooperation of its engineers made it the logical choice. “For twenty years, Digital Print, Inc. has provided its customers with the most reliable, cost efficient variable data printing systems possible. By combining our experience with proven, dependable print technologies like Spectra® Drop-on-Demand printheads and DPi’s controller and job creation software, DPi provides its customers with the best possible solution for their variable printing requirements.” DIGITAL PRINT, INC.
